I am originally from Ireland, and I now live in Sydney, Australia. 4 years ago I was looking for a way to increase my energy levels naturally (not through caffeine!) and I found a company that helped me in more ways than one.

Louise and Paul started their business in early 2004, just 18 months after arriving in Australia from Ireland. Both had made traditional career steps- go to college, get good grades and get a good job- and realised there had to be more to life than working 9-5 or worse 8-8 to build someone else's dream. As full-time professionals, Paul was working long hours in investment banking and Louise was working full-time in IT while studying natural therapy part-time.
Today, their decision to focus on long-term goals and make short-term sacrifices has paid off enormously. By consistently spending 7-10 hours a week during their evenings, lunchtimes and weekends, they have build a substantial business and Louise has been able to leave full-time employment. Prior to starting her USANA business, Juanita admits she was in a dire situation. Her health was deterioting under the stress and pressure of looking after her seriously ill husband and four year old son while working full-time as a telecommunications Project Manager. Her stressful job was made tougher by a daily three hour commute and being in and out of hospital.
When she saw what the USANA busines could do for her, she started immediately. She was determined to improve her situation and refused to let her lack of time or her shyness with people stop her. Manu moved to Australia to provide his children with a better education. Since arriving here, he has faced many challenges; knowing very few people and being under pressure to find work as an accountant to support his family. Manu started his USANA business after less than a year in Australia.
Since starting his business, Manu has been working towards his desire for his family to enjoy long-term financial security and prosperity. His most significant challenge has been to manage his time; as well as working full-time as an accountant, Manu spends much time looking after his two teenaged children and studying to have his accounting qualifications recignised in Australia. In 2002, as Director of Sales and Marketing for one of the largest 5-star hotels in Sydney, Michael realised the next step would be to take on a position as the General Manager. While this would have been financially rewarding, it would also mean longer hours and less time to enjoy the lifestyle he had come to Sydney from London for.
Michael chose USANA after researching several opportunities. Margie came from a traditional background where she was taught to go to university, get good grades and get a good job. By the age of 27 she was a marketing manager with a very successful career. However, she soon realised something was wrong when she found herself stressed out and tired of working to build someone else's dream- working in a 9 to 5 job which quickly turned into an 8 to 7 job. Even though she was earning a great salary in the media industry, Margie knew that she was stuck in the trap of being a wage slave, "I desperately wanted some control over my life and my future".

1) Work 40 hours a week 48 weeks a year until she was 65, a total of 70,000 hours. She would earn a good salary but when she stopped working, her income would stop too.

At the end of those 4 years she would be financially free with her USANA business generating a solid stream of residual income for her, even if she decided to work less or not work at all!
In reality, it took Margie just 16 months to achieve the level of Gold Director in USANA! She has never looked back, "Today, I no longer have to commute to a corporate job or answer to a boss! I work from home and have complete control over my time and finances. this gives me the freedom to live the flexible lifestyle that I've always dreamed about on my own terms! I can attend yoga classes on Tuesday mornings- when everyone else is at work. And the best part is the residual income stream that USANA provides. I can take a month off and still get paid"!
